  • What we DO:
  • The Administration Department is the umbrella that oversees the operations of the Housing Authority and ensures that everything runs smoothly. The Executive Director is the key player in the decision making process for the ASHA. The Admin Dept. develops
    policies and procedures for our organization, monitors financial matters and deals with legal matters. Human Resources are also present in the Admin Department. We also have direct contact and work closely with the Board of Commissioners. The Admin Department plans, directs and executes the activities of the organization as a whole. We have ample knowledge of Public and Indian Housing Programs and Federal Housing Standards, and with such; our job is to make sure that our organization as a whole, as well as our staff and our participants in the programs are complying with Federal, State, and Local law requirements. We communicate with our staff, our participants, the general public and other agencies in order to provide this opportunity of Housing for Low Income Native American families.

  • Executive Director
  • Leads and directs all activities of the Housing Authority to assure the smooth and efficient operation of all its functions
  • Oversees all Departments and staff
  • Reports monthly to Board of Commissioners
  • Makes decisions on all that pertains to ASHA as an organization, it's employees and tenants
  • Makes final decisions pertaining to tenants and legal issues alongside the Board of Commissioners
  • Approves leases, contracts, and other legal documents with HUD, Indian Health Service, Office of Environmental Health, Bureau of Indian Affairs, contractors, builders, professional experts, other Federal, State and local officials and program participants
  • Administrative Assistant 
  • Assists in Correspondence with staff, tenants and other agencies 
  • Coordinates schedules & makes appointments as needed for Executive Director and Operations Manager
  • Prepares agenda for Board Meeting & prepares Resolutions for consideration
  • Routes incoming mail for Executive Director and Operations Manager
  • Operations Manager
  • Develops procedures for operating all Housing Authority functions & program activities
  • Has knowledge of HUD Rules, Regulations & Requirements
  • Reports to the Board of Commissioners
  • Monitors the financial income and obligations of the ASHA
  • Provides support to Executive Director in the area of Human Resources
  • Prepares agenda for Board meeting & prepares resolutions for consideration
  • Grievances/ Tenant Complaints
