Current Bidding Opportunities:

UPDATED:  New Construction on Existing Slab Located at 1909 Old Central Norman, OK 73071

Re Bid:  The Absentee Shawnee Housing Authority is accepting bids for new construction of a 3 bedroom and 2 bath home. The project is located in Norman OK (inside City Limits). This is a turnkey project in which we will provide drawings, survey, and specifications. Bid must include all exterior/interior finishes including utility connection(s). Contractor will be responsible for all required City permits and all required documents such as drawings; site plans; building plans; and any meetings needed for City/ASHA approval. Site visit and pre bid meeting is mandatory to submit a bid. The meeting will take place at 1909 Old Central Norman, OK 73071 on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023 at 2:00pmBids are due Friday, December 1st, 2023 by 4pm.

They must be sealed and hand delivered or received by mail to our main office 107 N Kimberly Ave. Shawnee OK, 74801.

Native American preferences apply per Section 7(b) of the Indian Self Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 450e(b)).

Request for Proposal; Attorney Services

The Absentee Shawnee Housing Authority is seeking proposals from the most qualified and experienced firm and/or individual to provide legal services. The legal expertise needed for our organization would primarily be laws and/or legal situations pertaining to Native American Housing. Services can range anywhere from Tribal Laws, Real Estate Laws, and Employment/Personnel Laws. Since we are funded through the Department of Housing and Urban Development Indian Housing Block Grant, we require extensive knowledge of this program as well.  Services will need to be available to Absentee Shawnee Housing Authority on an “as needed” basis.

Indian Preference will be given according to Section 7(b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act {25 USC 450e(b)}. We reserve the right to reject and cancel all proposal if the needed changes arise, if the service is no longer required, budgeting is not available, or for any reason that we deem necessary.
