DEVELOPMENT & CONTRACTING

Working With Professional Vendors for Prompt Results

The Housing Development Department at the Absentee Shawnee Housing Authority works very hard to provide quality service to our communities by using skilled, professional vendors, specifications of work that are detailed and thorough so that jobs can be easily understood and promptly completed, as well as performing on-site inspections daily to ensure quality delivery of services. We appreciate our contractors and vendors and know that we can’t achieve our goals without them so all our contracts and agreements provide payments for services with 10 business days.

We give Indian Preference to Native American owned companies according to Section 7 (b) of the Indian Self-Determination Act (25 U.S.C. 450 e (b)) to all contracts in excess of $10,000.00 and adhere to strict ethical standards in contracting; including but not limited to No Conflict of Interests, Equal Employment Opportunities, Safety Standards, No use of Suspended or Debarred Parties, Clean Air Act, Byrd Anti Lobbying Amendment, and the Davis/Bacon Wage Act.

If you are interested in being added to our Vendors List to receive calls for bids or emergency repairs, please see our list of requirements below and contact Crystal Ragsdale, Project Management Specialist.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL:

The Absentee Shawnee Housing Authority (ASHA) is accepting proposals for decorative landscaping at our Kakile “Turtle” Crossing Addition on Highway 9.  We would like some type of decorative garden around the entry sign that will be easy to maintain in the future.  A site visit is required due to the soil and terrain in that area.

Indian Preference will be given according to Section 7(b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act {25 USC 450e(b)}

For more information, please contact Susan Florez (405-617-0472) or Crystal Ragsdale (405-765-8932).
